BYU Graduate!!

My husband, Zac, is walking tomorrow. He gets to wear the cap and gown and take pictures next to me. He is so excited. J/K. He can't figure out what the big deal is, but I think it is really fun to make it a celebration. Mostly because I bought a new dress and shoes for the occasion. We also got to take some time off from work and the hot desert to come and visit family and the beautiful mountains. We didn't realize what a flat place we live in until we came back to visit Utah.

So far we have already hit three of our many designated food joints to eat at while we are here. Last night we went to Bombay House (Indian Cuisine) and Maverick for some fro-yo. Today we went to lunch at Brick Oven where I reunited with fellow "Bricky" friends. Next on our list is Cafe Rio and Bajio. I got my hair cut and colored this morning, finally after five months of horrible roots and split ends. Zac walked through the mall with me and even helped me pick out a cute headband to wear to graduation tomorrow - what a sweetheart!

Our 29 hours in Provo have been well spent and very much enjoyed. We leave to go back to reality on Sunday. I guess all we can do now is just live it up.

One last thing, I want to just say what an amazing husband I have and how proud I am of him for graduating and moving onto bigger and better. He is such a hard worker and willing to sacrifice anything for me. Sometimes he gets tempted to just take me away to a deserted island and just live the simple life, carefree and captain of his pretend sailboat. There are moments when I think he is serious so I try to keep him extra motivated to do well in medical school so he can have a good job one day. An example of my efforts is exemplified in the following story. The other day he was starting the dish washer and filling both of the slots full with soap. I told him that for now we can only fill one of the slots with soap, at least until he gets a real job. He thought it was pretty funny, mostly because we really are that poor and have ghetto jobs. I hope we will look back on these days and just laugh, I really hope.

Happy graduation babe. I love you!!

Wendy is a MOM!!

Norah Ruth Thomas

Aunt X 15

Wendy had her baby on Monday, April 9th at about 6:00 am. She had a smooth delivery and only had to push once. She had a little baby girl named Norah Ruth Thomas. She weighed 7 lbs. 20 inches and is so cute. I am still in shock that my little sister is now a mother, but so excited for her. She has always been such a great example to me. She is going to be an amazing mom. My mom went up to Utah to help her out and ended up leaving a day early because Wendy already had the hang of the whole mother thing down. I will try to download a picture of her tomorrow. I tried on my own and it won't work for some reason. I was tempted to wake up Zac who has fallen asleep on the couch, but decided to be nice and wait until tomorrow.

Some Day...

I am sorry, but I am copying Lillie's idea of sharing my favorite General Conference talk with my blogger friends. I loved Elder Eyring's talk I believe was Sunday afternoon. He was definately speaking to me. I sort of procastinate making necessary changes in me life. I try to put things off I don't want to do until they are convenient for me to address. If it is something outside of my comfort zone I can kiss that goal goodbye. I needed this talk to help me to realize I have to stop avoiding reality. I loved what he said about by doing what we need to today, we are only making tomorrow that much easier. Taking one day at a time is all we need to do. It reminds me of a quote that goes something like this, "It's hard to get much done one little step at a time. But it's impossible to get anything significant accomplisihed without going one little step at a time."
