BYU Graduate!!

My husband, Zac, is walking tomorrow. He gets to wear the cap and gown and take pictures next to me. He is so excited. J/K. He can't figure out what the big deal is, but I think it is really fun to make it a celebration. Mostly because I bought a new dress and shoes for the occasion. We also got to take some time off from work and the hot desert to come and visit family and the beautiful mountains. We didn't realize what a flat place we live in until we came back to visit Utah.

So far we have already hit three of our many designated food joints to eat at while we are here. Last night we went to Bombay House (Indian Cuisine) and Maverick for some fro-yo. Today we went to lunch at Brick Oven where I reunited with fellow "Bricky" friends. Next on our list is Cafe Rio and Bajio. I got my hair cut and colored this morning, finally after five months of horrible roots and split ends. Zac walked through the mall with me and even helped me pick out a cute headband to wear to graduation tomorrow - what a sweetheart!

Our 29 hours in Provo have been well spent and very much enjoyed. We leave to go back to reality on Sunday. I guess all we can do now is just live it up.

One last thing, I want to just say what an amazing husband I have and how proud I am of him for graduating and moving onto bigger and better. He is such a hard worker and willing to sacrifice anything for me. Sometimes he gets tempted to just take me away to a deserted island and just live the simple life, carefree and captain of his pretend sailboat. There are moments when I think he is serious so I try to keep him extra motivated to do well in medical school so he can have a good job one day. An example of my efforts is exemplified in the following story. The other day he was starting the dish washer and filling both of the slots full with soap. I told him that for now we can only fill one of the slots with soap, at least until he gets a real job. He thought it was pretty funny, mostly because we really are that poor and have ghetto jobs. I hope we will look back on these days and just laugh, I really hope.

Happy graduation babe. I love you!!

Ok that was one of the best poor stories ever... I laughed. We only fill one slot?! Good frugal thinking Warnick. I mean... what's your last name?

Congrats Zac! And you must post pictures so I can see your dress and shoes.

Lacy had her baby! (Just in case you read this before you check my blog.)

Haha! We only fill one slot too. Such a waste of money to fill both of them.

Happy graduation Zac!

Congratulations Zac! That is a great accomplishment. I made Jon wear the cap and gown and walk even though he also couldn't see what the big deal was. It's all about the pictures, although, looking back at them, maybe I should have bought a new dress!

I so miss the good food in Provo. No wonder I weighed a lot more when I lived there! Eat some Cafe Rio and Maverick yogurt for me!!!

Yea! An update!

Love the poor story. You'll look back someday and laugh, I'm sure. See, now you really have to keep blogging.

Congrats to Zac. It's all about the cap and gown pictures. Devin and I graduated together and I love our photos. Post pics of your new dress and headband! And I love it when Dev goes shopping with me. It's makes it so fun!

Graduation pics are among the most framable. I'm looking at a slew of Christy and I (3 graduations together!) in my office as we speak. Zac, congrats!!!! Such a fun occasion!

I love to hear you talk about Utah in lovey voice Becky. After so many "I'm cold"s, I'm thrilled to know that you love parts of the Beehive State deep down. You've already done most of my fav Utah things - all of those eating deliciousnesses(esp Bajios), getting hair done for cheap, relishing the mountains... have a great time!

Doesn't Zac want to see DC as a graduation gift?
